My Happy Ever After.

Once upon a time......

Isn't that how all fairy tales begin?  David and my story began long before I knew who he was. I was born on January 24, 1989 in Great Falls, MT when the weather was -40 degrees. My parents were so excited they called all the friends and family over to see me... My mom's best friends parents (Rod & Ada) came to the hospital and when they saw me they called me "MRS. JOHNSON"!  You have to understand that I didn't  look anything like my mom when I was born. I had a round face, dark red skin, and  full head of black hair!! Thus giving me the nick name... Mrs. Johnson.  Little did they know that one day that would become my name...

Now lets skip ahead a few years.... ok it was the summer of 2009 right around the 4th of July when David Johnson caught my eye. He had recently been in a relationship with one of our mutual friends... Kelsey. They knew they weren't a good match and she informed me that I needed to get to know Dave because she was sure that I would marry him...... I became curious and when I was invited to a game night at a friends house I was pleasantly surprised that they were roommates!!  We talked that night... and from then on we would be seen together almost all summer....

After some ups and downs we eventually made it "facebook" official. The crazy part about the whole thing is that when we started dating... I knew in my heart that I would marry David (even if he didn't know it yet)... It was like God made us for each other.  We had so many things in common...  but I think one of the biggest was our love of children.  Because of Dave's childhood... he is so passionate about being a great father... and I have wanted kids for as long as I can remember! We share the common dream of raising a family up in God's word and teaching them to be Followers of the Most High!  Also we love being Active and always trying to learn more about the God who created us!....

So in June of 2010 David and I, among others, traveled to Sao Paulo, Brazil for an inner-city mission. We worked closely with each other and other Brazilians to create an environment that was safe for the children in the community to come hear about Jesus and have a place to go after school so their involvement in drugs would be lessened.  We really grew while we were serving together. And I hope that we will always be able to serve together!

Then in October of 2010 I traveled to Ambo, Ethiopia with a group from our church. And this experience changed my life forever! I hope that one day I will be able to bring David back with me so he can experience the Joy the children bring into my life.

A week after I got back David proposed on November 8th, 2010....that in itself is a long story.... but he proposed after a full day of being pampered he got down on one in my parents living room and asked me to marry him. (well I actually didn't let him get all of the words out because I was so excited I just took the ring and screamed and hugged him) ..... hahah I hadn't prepared myself at all as to how I would react when he did ask.

Then 7 months later we were married at Montana Zoo in the gardens and I am so happy to be married to my best friend.
Me awaiting my groom.... about to see each other for the first time
